eonjaena | Korean Restaurant in Kitashinchi, Osaka

Kitashinchi, Osaka

Fifteen seats, centered around the counter. Reservations are accepted online.

Between Tradition and FreedomConcept

The framework is Korean, but it is not a closed one. Our courses are built by a third-generation Korean-Japanese chef who spent twenty years in Japanese kitchens, weaving Japanese and Western elements into Korean foundations.

The menu is composed as a single line, from the first small dish to the rice at the end, and its contents change with the season. Each plate shifts in character, so the course is meant to be taken as a whole.

Cuisine

Ten plates, from gejang to the rice at the end

After the opening dishes come ganjang gejang, a small hot pot such as dakhanmari, and charcoal-grilled plates, followed by fish, meat and soup before the rice that closes the meal. A palate-cleansing dessert ends the course. Contents vary with what is available.

The Room

A bamboo counter under indirect light

The space was designed by Yasumichi Morita, CEO of GLAMOROUS Co., Ltd. Past an entrance finished in charcoal gray and zinc gold chromate, stainless-steel chopsticks inspired by Korean cuisine catch the indirect lighting along the walls, while the counter is finished in calm bamboo.
